Finding And Landing Your Dream Job
But Your Ex-Husband Or Ex-Wife Works There
--
Situation
You’ve had your bumps and bruises in life that you’ve had to get over. From relationship failures to working a job that you knew had no light at the end of the tunnel. You’ve persevered over the years, and with hard work, you finally found, interviewed, and got an offer for your dream job.
Monkey Wrench
Full of joy and happiness from getting an offer letter from your new employer, you suddenly receive a text message on your phone. You look down, and see a congratulations on your new job message from your ex-wife or ex-husband. In disbelief, you reply by asking how did they know about your new job? They reply that they currently work at the company and were informed that you interviewed and landed a position.
Decision
You haven’t seen or talked to your ex in years. The divorce between you and your ex ended terribly, and you vowed to never speak to them again. In your left hand, you have the offer letter from your dream job. In your right hand, you hold your phone containing a text message from your ex, stating that they work at your new job unbeknownst to you.
What do you do?
They have no rank over you or your position but work in the same department. Do you take the job or do you keep looking?
