My Top 10 Concerns With Buying A House In 2021
Don’t Get Offended This Is My Damn List (No Particular Order)
2 min readJul 11, 2021
- Shortage of Inventory There aren’t a lot of homes on the market
- It’s a sellers market. If you’re on the opposite end of buying and you’re thinking about selling your home you probably have a big smile on your face now. Depending on the area where you live, not only will your house probably sell very fast but you may even get a bigger offer than you imagined.
- Houses are priced on the high end. Homes that are 1500 square ft and could be purchased in the $125K range 2 years ago are now selling for over $200K
- Multiple Bids being submitted for homes. I have a family member is recently put her house on the market in the Atlanta area and got 40 offers for her home.
- When the market goes down will people be stuck upside down in their homes?
- Not being able to find a home in the location that I want
- Competing with buyers who are willing to pay $10 to $20K over asking price
- How much equity will be left in your home after purchasing?
- How much bang will I get for my buck?
- Should I wait and rent and wait for the market to change?
If you’re reading this post and have some of the same concerns that I have leave your concerns so I can review and take notes.
