- People Not Rebooting Their Computer Before Reaching Out For Help- I know this is cliche, and you’ve heard it a million times but give your computer a quick reboot to see if it fixes your problem before you call.
- Employees Downloading Programs They Shouldn’t- Please do not download non-approved programs online. Not all software is approved and could cause viruses or cause security issues. If the software is not on the pre-approved list, please don’t download it.
- Employees Randomly Walking Up To Them With Problems- Sometimes, employees feel the need to catch IT professionals stepping out of their vehicle for work and bombard them with issues. Please, allow the IT professional to get situated for the day. There is usually a process that has been implemented for employees to submit issues.
- Having To Deal With Mr or Mrs. Cranky Pants- One thing that drives IT professionals crazy is dealing with users who may have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Life is tough, but IT isn’t the sausewhy that person cut you off in traffic before work.
