- Call Your Bank To Shut Off Your Debit Cards- If you find that your wallet has been stolen, this needs to be the first thing you do. If a thief has stolen your wallet, they are going to start buying items with your cards. Call your bank and have those cards shut off immediately.
- Call Your Credit Card Companies To Cancel Your Cards- You should apply the same urgency to canceling your credit cards as you do to your bank cards. Call your credit card companies and let them know that your wallet has been stolen and you would like to cancel your card.
- Check Your Bank Account To See If There Are Any Fraudulent Charges- With everyone having access to online banking, log into your account and see if there have been any fraudulent charges.
- Contact The Police- If you find that someone has made charges with your credit or debit cards, you should contact the police. By filing a police report, this will help you in the process of getting everything cleared with the bank and credit card companies.
