- There Is Not Going To Be Anyone Forcing You To Study, Wake Up, Or Go To Class- When you leave for college it is going to be the beginning of your adulthood. No longer will mom and dad be there making you wake up for class or study for that upcoming test. All of those responsibilities now lay on your shoulders. Depending on how you handle it, the results can be positive or negative.
- The Professors Are Not Going To Hold Your Hand Like Some Teachers In High School May Have- Once I got to college, I quickly learned that the professors are not there to baby adult students. You may not get that extra time and attention that was afforded by your high school teachers. The days of having the instructor continuously remind you about the due date of that term paper are over.
- You Will Have To Learn How To Resolve Conflicts Amongst Your Peers- At some point during those four years, you are going to have a situation where you disagree with one of your peers. You will need to learn how to handle yourself during these times. Being able to resolve conflicts peacefully is a skill you will use in college and life.
