  1. Keep All Belonging Sitting In Front Of You- Do not sit your bags or purse next to you. Keep everything in front of you so you can see them. People will try to distract you and reach from the side or behind and take your items if you aren’t looking.
  2. If Standing Up, Put Your Wallet In Your Front Pocket- If you are a guy traveling on public transportation, put your wallet in your front pants pocket. There are professional pickpocketers who will steal your wallet from your back pocket and you won’t even feel it.
  3. Never Pull Out And Count Money While Traveling- Do not ever pull out significant amounts of money while riding on public transportation. Forgetting this step could lead to you getting robbed or followed once you exit.
  4. Try Not To Touch Unnecessary Items- Public vehicles are nasty and full of germs. Try your best not to touch unnecessary objects while riding.
  5. Try To Sit As Close To Exit Doors As Possible- You never know when something crazy can happen while riding on public transportation. Try to find a seat or standing area near the exit door so you can exit quickly during an emergency.
  6. Try To Sit Amongst Group
