- Before you visit any car repair shop, go to google, and look at the reviews. Prior customers experiences will be a good indicator if this repair shop does good or terrible work. I am looking for shops with 5-star reviews or 4 stars minimum.
- Do not choose a repair shop just because you heard they are the cheapest in town. Not all businesses are looking to rob you with outrageous repair costs. If you can find one of these businesses, then you are in luck. On the other hand, if you find a business that is cheap and does more harm than help in fixing your car, stay away.
- Before you take your car in for repair, make sure you can explain what is going on. Never go into a car repair shop and tell them that you don’t know what is going on with your car. When a sales associate hears that, you are now at his mercy. You don’t want to be charged to have things that don’t need to be repaired replaced.
- Don’t be afraid to get a second opinion concerning what needs to be paired on your vehicle. Having two sets of eyes look at your vehicle will guarantee that the right parts are replaced.
