- If you tell your kids you are going to do something make sure you do it. If you tell them you guys are going to Six Flags next weekend make sure you do everything in your power to be on the Batman ride with them on the date you promised. Think back to when you were a kid and how you anticipated going places.
- Don’t always be a yeller be a listener sometimes. Dads have to be the big dawg and set examples but sometimes it’s good if we bark quieter and listen to our kids louder.
- Show interest in the things that your kids like no matter how weird they are. My daughter likes Anime so guess what ol Chris does? I start finding and watching the shows so I can be up on it too. That way you can have something else that forms a bond with you and your kids.
- It may be hard but don’t let the relationship you have with the kids mom affect how you bond with your child. Now this is one that I really have to work hard on myself I can’t lie. Sometimes the situation may not be good between the parents but the kids should no way feel any of that negative energy.
- Take your kids with you when you’re out running errands or doing business. Kids are watching your every move. If you’re out setting…
