  1. Instead of packing that thick canister of hair grease in your suitcase take some out with your finger and put in a torn piece of aluminum foil. Fold the foil on all four sides and place it in your zip lock bag.
  2. Place all toothpaste, deodorants, toothbrushes, contact solutions, and hair products in a clear zip-lock bag. This will ensure you not having things scattered throughout your suitcase. Also, if traveling by air it makes it easier for TSA to check your belongings if needed.
  3. Try to minimize the fluids you drink before leaving on a road trip. Nothing kills the travel spirit like having to stop to use the restroom 15 minutes after you leave your house.
  4. Bring your earbuds for your phone. At some point, you are going to want to tune someone or something out. Pop in those buds so you can start listening to your music or your favorite podcast.
  5. Before you leave, try to grab some cash. When traveling you never know what a scammer or thief has set up on the debit card readers. I’ve had issues where fake readers had been installed on gas pumps and the thieves tried to steal money from my bank account. Having some cash on hand will save you unwanted headaches.
  6. Never take a shit…
