- Do What You’re Supposed To Do Without Being Told To Do It- You pretty much know what your tasks are daily. You shouldn’t need your manager to tell you every day what needs to be done. Be proactive and show that you are responsible.
- Continue Learning- Always continue to learn and find ways to stay on top of your craft.
- Show That You Can Pick Up On New Things Fast- When learning something new on the job, make sure that you take great notes. That way, you can go over them at home and practice. You do not want your manager to have to show you over and over how to complete a task.
- Be On-Time- I can not stress this one enough. Please be on time to work. Walking in 10 minutes late for work every day isn’t going to get you a raise. If your manager can not rely on you to be there on time, how can he rely on you to take on a new position?
- Bring Something To The Table Other Than Your Body- Be able to bring new ideas or solutions to the table sometimes. Finding ways to make your job and others easier will be rewarded.
- Work Harder Than Everyone Else
- Be Willing To Fail And Not Be Afraid To Keep Going- Sooner or later, you are going to fail…
