Don’t Get Offended This Is My Damn List (No Particular Order)

- Make sure you’re there mentally and physically when it’s your week to be with your kids.
- Don’t let the weekend be the only time that your kids hear from you. You may not see them physically during the week, but you can call and facetime them every day.
- Always have something planned to do with them on the weekends. No kid wants to come over and sit in the house all weekend.
- Let your kids know that you love them and missed being with them the past four days.
- Have fun with your kids. If they want you to dress up as a ninja or ballerina, do it. If they want to go to the movies or their favorite park be willing and ready to go.
- Make sure you create memories with your kids that they will never forget. Just make sure that those memories are positive, not negative.
- Continue to teach your kids life lessons. Teach them how to ride a bike or drive a car and everything in between.
- Let them know that they have the love and support from both parents even though they aren’t together.
- Don’t make it you, your friends, and your kids time on the weekends that you have them. Give your kids your full attention. They already missed you the other four days of the week. Don’t make them second on the weekend also.
- Do such a great job being a dad that when it’s time for them to leave, they aren’t ready to go.
