  1. Try A New Activity- To get over being shy, try a new activity you haven’t done before. It could be a painting class, joining a bowling league, or singing karaoke at your local hangout spot. By trying something new, you will force yourself to interact with new people.
  2. Join Your Local Meetup Group- Depending on where you stay, there are usually meetup groups that you can attend. These groups are usually related to a certain like or activity that you may be interested in.
  3. Introduce Yourself To People You Don’t Know- First off, don’t go to the grocery store and start introducing yourself to everyone on each aisle. That would be weird. If you are in a social setting or event, it is ok to introduce yourself to people. This could be a networking opportunity or a chance to meet a new friend.
  4. Let Your Hair Down And Relax- Being shy doesn’t mean you have to be uptight. Relax and take a deep breath. Be you and enjoy the moment and the company of the next person.
  5. Let Your Personality Shine- Let that beautiful smile and personality help you out sometimes. By letting people see your awesome personality, it will make it easier to meet new people.
